Address changes
How an address change unfolds
Address changes follow a predictable pattern. Knowing it helps you ignore the noise of the first few hours.
- Hour 0
Signed notice
The operators publish a signed message naming the new address and when the old one retires.
- Hours 1-6
Checks here
We verify the signature and compare the new string in full. The card stays on Awaiting check until both pass.
- Day 1-3
Copycats appear
Fake "new mirror" posts peak in these days. Use only checked cards and signed lists.
- Week 2+
Old link retires
The previous address stops answering. Replace your bookmark and forget the old one.
